Canonbie & District Residents Association
Thanks to everyone who came along to our Community Café “Open Day” on Saturday , & helped make it a great success!
We are now getting ready to open regularly on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons, from 2pm, beginning on Monday 15th June.
The café is based in the Vestry at Canonbie Church, with a separate entrance, to the left of the Main door, and you will always know that the Café is open, when the flag is flying at the end of the bridge!
A poster is attached, for information.
We will be selling coffee, tea, snacks & bakes, can offer free WiFi , and hope you will pop in to the Café for a cuppa sometime.
We will also shortly be inviting older residents, who perhaps live alone, or have a disability, to join in, & come along for a cup of tea and a blether, and can arrange transport if required.
If you know of anyone who might participate, or a carer who would appreciate some free time, contact us on 71209, in the first instance
We also plan to run a class to introduce local people to the internet, so if you would like to know more, or get connected,
contact Howard on 71545 to join in!
We can always use a few more volunteers, so even if you can’t commit to a regular day, it would be great if you could give a couple of hours occasionally!
Contact Volunteer Co-ordinator, Kathleen Moore on 71696 for more information.
